Ode to Bonne Bell

©2008 by Jennifer Honeycutt. May not be reproduced without permission.

I picture you
with creamy vanilla skin,
lips red as cherry popsicles,
teeth white as Oreo crème.

Chocolate saucer eyes look out
from a round pancake face;
golden honey hair spills
to your shoulders.

Berry red rubies
adorn plump fingers;
strings of jellybeans
wrap around your wrists.

If you did not already exist,
I would hereby create you
and decree:
we must always be delicious.
