my last day at my current employer is march 30.

i have a new job lined up; i’ll post more about that in a few weeks.

there have been a lot of changes in my life lately, but i know without a doubt that this is a good thing.

so let’s see what else is new…

i had lunch with my friends ben and scott last week. i really miss seeing them as often as i used to when i worked downtown. for over four years, scott and i met for breakfast every friday. i’m very proud of the fact that we kept it up for four years.

i’m meeting malia for dinner next week. she has a new man in her life, so we will have a lot to talk about.

i’m going to oak island april 27 through 30. it’s for a mini writing retreat, but in reality i am looking forward to relaxation and a few days away. i can see myself just sitting on the oceanfront porch watching the waves all day.

my mom is going to pennsylvania the week of easter. i’ve already bought her mother’s day gift, so i think i’m going to give it to her before she goes. it’s a garmin gps navigator. my brother and i are trying to figure out a way to install it in her tacoma without her knowing so we can surprise her.

so now i need to figure out what to get dad for his birthday (may 22) and for father’s day. you know me, always on the lookout for a deal. it’s never too early to buy gifts.

and one last note: google’s new themes are cute. they change according to the weather and time at your location. i currently use google’s personalized home page as my browser home page, so the themes give it a nice variety. although it might not be long before google reader supplants google personalized as my home page. i am thoroughly addicted to reader.
